Dr. Britton is widely recognized for her groundbreaking study, The Varieties of Contemplative Experience, which created a taxonomy of the potential risks and adverse effects of meditation. She is the founder and director of Cheetah House, a non-profit organization providing specialized support and trauma-informed training for meditators in distress, mindfulness providers, & clinicians worldwide.
